Caroline Foster Kenny was appointed CEO of IPG Mediabrands in January 2017. Since her arrival, the media agency network has undergone a dramatic transformation – in terms of growth and product offering, but also in its culture.

In the past 2 years under her leadership, the UK business has grown 50% in revenue and 35% in billings – with many new clients including AMEX, Just Eat, Mattel, Lego, Converse, Iceland and Ted Baker.

But growth is just part of the story. Caroline has revolutionised the network’s culture and operating model to make IPG Mediabrands a more progressive, entrepreneurial, agile and flexible place to work, with a proud and motivated workforce who are excited about what they’re doing for their clients. She has:

•Championed gender equality, with leadership now 44% female and a reduced gender pay gap
•Introduced initiatives to hire and nurture talent from BAME backgrounds
•Built a bold apprenticeship programme
•Created an Advisory Board and employee networks to challenge leadership
•Drastically improved support/pay for working parents
•Devised a group-wide OPEN culture programme that celebrates diversity and individuality at all levels
