John Lewis ads are iconic cultural moments, just like blockbuster films. So when the plot of the retailer’s latest ad - its most important as it was launching a new brand identity - aligned with one of the year’s biggest blockbusters, it was the perfect media match. But there was one BIG problem for the BIG screen, the film would premiere six weeks after the campaign start date, and unlike a broadcaster, cinema’s content is dictated by the studios and can’t be moved...
