Mike Cooper, Group CEO Omnicom Media Group EMEA and APAC Mike was appointed Group CEO of Omnicom Media Group across EMEA and Asia Pacific in 2019. Omnicom's media operations employ over 13,600 people across 105 offices. He was previously CEO of PHD Worldwide for 12 years and prior to that CEO for Omnicom Media Group Asia Pacific. In 2018 PHD was awarded more Cannes Media Lions than any other agency. PHD was also named 'Media Network of the Year' by Campaign magazine in 2016 & 2015 and 'Global Media Agency of the Year' by Adweek in 2017, reflecting the network's new business success and sustained momentum. Mike started working in advertising at Saatchi & Saatchi in London in 1984 before moving to Hong Kong in 1989 to work as media director. In 1991 he was appointed CEO for Saatchi in Hong Kong and in 1993. He joined Omnicom in 1997 as OMD's first employee to set up the network in Asia-Pacific. As CEO for OMD Asia Pacific he grew the network to 26 offices and was recognised as being one of the top two media specialists in Asia Pacific. In 2005 he launched PHD across the Asia Pacific region, leading to him being named Media Magazine's 'Regional Agency Head of the Year for Asia' in 2007. In 2018 Mike was awarded Media Leader of the year by Media Week/Campaign. He loves classic Porsche cars and his wife's Saluki Lurcher, Dido.
