Frances Roche joined the media industry in 2016 as a Paid Social Executive after completing her degree in History, where she specialised in analysing behavioural changes in periods of change. Realising her love for analytical thinking and working out what and why people engage with things, she was attracted to the complex digital media ecosystem where there were countless ways to think creatively and analytically and turn this into business results.

Frances moved to Merkle in 2017 as a team leader managing 2 people, progressing through her current role, she now leads a division of 46 people in London, Edinburgh and India. In the last 18 months though she’s really found her forte. Taking our largest and most complicated accounts, whilst they are in the throes of internal business struggles caused by Covid, she has transformed them into a unified voice and positioned herself, and the Merkle business alongside it, as a true partner that just doesn’t consider media. Alongside this though, Frances has combined her passion for client strategy and people management through DEI. Proactively seeking out client opportunities to see their potential and their business need to get involved in this space, she encourages businesses to place people at the heart of their marketing, moving them beyond tokenism to provoke change inside and out. She has positioned Merkle as a leader in the industry and is successfully establishing our commercial offering for the business as DEI in Marketing consultants.
