In my 5 years since joining Reach I’ve been promoted from Planner to Senior Planner and now Planning Director. It’s been quite the journey as I’ve developed my planning skills, forged key relationships and stepped into a management role - all whilst being an expert in the audiences of an ever-expanding portfolio of over 200 media brands. The Invention Content Studio is experiencing an epic transformation and I’ve played a vital role in delivering revenue growth, working on strategies for stand-out and award-winning campaigns including Co-op Funeralcare, BT and Prostate Cancer UK. I’ve been working on a new planning process that makes better use of our first-party audience datasets, elevating our branded content campaigns. I’m passionate about breaking the ‘class ceiling’ within media and advertising and am proud to be Co-Chair of Reach’s social mobility D&I committee ReachPotential.
So what’s next? There’s a lot planned; officially launching the Hearts & Minds process, building a smart planning tool with an AI agency and working on internal culture in regards to social mobility. I’m loving being a manager, and am looking forward to developing my team and helping them grow as planners. Ultimately my long-term goal is to progress to a CSO role.
