Paul Wright is the lead for advertising at Uber in London. He covers all advertising from Uber's Journey Ads to sponsored messaging in Uber Eats. Paul started his career at Sky as one of the first members of the commercial team. This started a journey from TV sales to the early days of programme sponsorship to digital and technology. He's run sales and marketing for a web-based sports business; created a Sports focussed Ad Network which worked with Premier League clubs, the ECB, RFU, and many others, which he sold to Sky. Paul helped sell another business in the emerging video ad space, worked for Bauer and AOL then was appointed as the first Chief Digital Officer for OMD Group UK then Omnicom Media Group. He then headed up Apple's first ad business iAd across international markets. Since then Paul has been involved in other Adtech businesses and was part of the Sizmek leadership team which sold to Amazon in 2019.
