Me, My Moustache and I

Channel 4, Bicycle

Client: Movember

For more than 20 years, Movember has built one of the world's most recognisable charity movements. But while the moustache is instantly recognisable, many people don't fully understand the breadth of the men's health issues it represents. Channel 4 partnered with Movember to help audiences look beyond the symbol, using content to deepen understanding and strengthen emotional connection with the cause.

Together, we created three editorial-style films – Me, My Moustache and I (Parts One and Two) and One Step at a Time – sharing honest, deeply personal stories of men living with cancer, families remembering loved ones, and individuals speaking openly about mental health, grief and vulnerability. Rather than leading with fundraising, the content put real experiences at the heart of the storytelling, positioning Movember as a movement grounded in people's lives rather than simply a once-a-year fundraising campaign. Distributed across Channel 4's digital ecosystem, the films reached both long-term supporters and entirely new audiences through entertainment-first storytelling. The campaign delivered 5.7 million views, generating more than 36,000 engagements while outperforming platform benchmarks. Crucially, that engagement translated into meaningful action, driving 790 conversions, including 386 donations and 186 new sign-ups. Independent research also showed viewers were significantly more likely to support Movember after watching the content, proving that storytelling helped audiences look beyond the moustache to connect with the purpose behind the movement.
