"March 2020 saw the everyday act of shopping become a

stressful potential health risk.

Tesco led the way, adapting the shop to reassure

colleagues and shoppers they could work and shop

safely. Within 72 hours, Tesco led the sector’s comms with

the first COVID related campaign on air: a clear public

service message that scored as the top performing of all

COVID ads.

The campaign received the highest score possible for

brand memorability. As a result, Tesco drew 366K more

shoppers than the previous month, 4ppts above their

annual average."
