Save Our Pubs

Client: The Telegraph

How many campaigns will you read about today that managed to bring both Nigel Farage and Zach Polanski together in unanimous praise? Probably not many. But if there’s one thing that unites everyone in the UK, it’s that we love pubs. They’re a symbol of our identity - places where all are welcome, where you can share opinions talk a load of rubbish and make lifelong friends. In a hyper polarised society, that’s never been more important.

Despite that, pubs are closing at the rate of two a day under a burden of ever-higher taxes. The Telegraph have been raising the alarm on the subject for some time with their ‘Save Our Pubs’ editorial campaign, calling on the Government to change the tax and regulatory regime on these vital community assets before it is too late. This presented a golden opportunity to show how the Telegraph champions British values in an inclusive way, bring in new readers and make existing readers proud.
